The 100 Years of Telegraph Service: 1854-1954 slogan was used in Adelaide from  5 April 1954 to 28 September 1954. It had been generally made available throughout Australia from 5 April although the 100 YEARS .. commemorative stamp was not issued until 7 April.    
    All five identified dies used at Adelaide with this slogan had ADELAIDE at the top and either:
    
      -  a circular date stamp with no code number and either S. A. AUST. or SOUTH. AUST. at the base; or
-    a box date stamp with  the number    4 at the sides or PAID at the base; 
Within each of these broad types of dies, there are variations.
    The date stamp usually had TIME then DAY/MONTH then YEAR.
